Welcome to Bolder Languages!

Thanks for visiting Bolder Languages, Boulder's premier cross-cultural communication agency! Please read more about us by clicking on the links on the left, and make sure you visit each of our members' websites to learn about the specific services they offer. If you are trying to pass your Spanish class or hoping to improve your travels abroad, this is the site for you!

We hope that you find our website useful and educational. It is meant to be interactive, so please leave us comments if you like what you see, or suggestions on how we can make it better. We hope to improve the learning process for those that are trying to learn a new language all over the world, so your feedback is crucial. Also, if you know of anyone else interested in learning languages, pass this site along!

This site is also about so much more than learning a language; it is also here to help you learn about new cultures. If you have pictures of cool or funny things that you have seen while traveling abroad (my favorite is funny translations), or embarrassing stories from cross cultural interaction, please send them to us and we will post them on the site and give you a big thanks!

Tutor Spotlight

Bolder Languages is proud to welcome our newest member and co-founder, Andrés Hermida. Born in Santo Domingo on December 13th, 1984, Andrés is our first native speaker. Growing up in the Dominican Republic has allowed him to grasp the Spanish language and culture thoroughly. Also having a large portion of his family coming from Barcelona has given him a wider perspective and knowledge of the Spanish culture and language.

Andrés says "moving to the US when I was 10 years old was one of the most exciting things that has happened to me." After living in the US for 6 years he moved back to his home town of Santo Domingo. This really helped him understand cultural differences at a whole new level. Once he moved back to Santo Domingo he was able to get his high-school diploma from El Dominico Americano bilingual high school where he mastered both the Spanish and English language fluently at every level.

Afterwards, he moved over to St Petersburg, Florida where he studied international business, marketing, and management at Eckerd College. After graduating with honors he moved to the beautiful city of Boulder, Colorado where he is currently the president of Bolder Languages, and actively contributing to the success of our organization. With BL he specializes in designing cultural immersion programs, business consulting services, web site translation , travel planning, conversational Spanish, homework assistance, and immigration form assistance. Read more about him by visiting his website.
